As you may have seen from the news recently, BT are rolling out lightning fast internet connections using “Fiber To The Cabinet” or FTTC technology bringing super fast connections within the reach of most of the UK.
FidoNet are pleased to be able to provide all 21CN connections through BT Wholesale and our partnership with LLU providers such as EasyNet and Opal Telecom, and we’d like you to consider moving across to our fast Broadband network.
Why choose Fido when I can get “free” internet from Sky/TalkTalk/etc? Well the old proverb “You Get What You Pay For” springs to mind, but beyond that we offer a truly unlimited connection (no capping, throttling or annoying bandwidth limits) and we offer friendly and personal service. No offshore call centres, no long waits and annoying hold music – just fast, professional service all from our UK (London) based offices.
We offer 2 simple types of connection – our Business or “Biz” plan offers higher sustained throughput for multiple concurrent sessions (so ideal for offices) whilst our Small Business or “SoHo” product is perfect for the small shop/office/home office scenario with 1 or 2 users. Business users also get routable network address allocations, reverse DNS, etc whilst the SoHo product is limited to dynamic IP as standard.

Lead time on standard 21CN is usually 5 days whilst FTTC can take up to 21 days and may require an engineer to visit to install a face plate / etc.
Migrations of standard Broadband (20CN -> 21CN and 21CN -> 21CN) are free of charge whilst upgrades / migrations from 20CN/21CN to FTTC cost just £50 plus VAT (migrations from an LLU provider may incur a fee)
