Cause

Parallels Plesk Panel 9.5.x  template is not compatible with Windows 2008 R2 OS template in Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.6 for Windows.

Resolution

To make Parallels Plesk Panel 9.5.x  template compatible with Windows 20008 R2 template take the following actions:

1. Copy Plesk template in c:\vz\templates\__cache;

2. Run vzpkgls.exe command on the node and make sure Plesk template appears in output. Also corresponding configuration file (plesk*.xml) should appear in  c:\vz\templates\__cache\ folder;

3. Open this plesk*.xml file in notepad, find out section with Windows_2008 in its name like this:

    <package>
         <name>Windows_2008</name>
    </package>

add new section with Windows_2008R2 name:

    <package>
        <name>Windows_2008R2</name>
    </package>

4. Run "vzpkgdeploy -i plesk_template_name" command to deploy this template on the node.

5. Open template.xml file from C:\vz\Templates\plesk-9.5.x.x-YYYYMMDD directory and repeat step #3;

6. Install the template into container;
